Crème de Violette
Crème de violette is a pale purple liqueur made by infusing violet flower petals into a sweetened neutral spirit base, giving it a distinctly floral, perfumed flavour. It is used in very small amounts, both for its taste and for the striking lavender-blue tint it lends to a drink. Too much can quickly overwhelm a cocktail.
