Elderflower liqueur

Elderflower liqueur is an alcoholic, floral liqueur made from elderflower blossoms, sweeter and more intensely aromatic than elderflower cordial. It brings a honeyed, slightly lychee-like floral note to shaken and sparkling cocktails.

Common uses

  • floral modifier in shaken cocktails
  • alcoholic alternative to elderflower cordial

Buying & storage

Keeps more or less indefinitely: Alcohol is preserving it. An open bottle keeps for a very long time, though aromatics do fade slowly.

Storage: store in a cool, dark place after opening; keeps for several months
