Ginger Kombucha
Ginger kombucha is fermented, lightly effervescent sweet tea flavoured with ginger, offering a tangy, mildly sour fizz alongside ginger's spiced heat. As a fermented product it typically contains trace alcohol, usually well under 0.5% ABV. It works as a tangier, more complex alternative to ginger beer as a cocktail lengthener.
Not always completely alcohol-free
Kombucha is fermented, and fermentation carries on in the bottle, so the alcohol content is both non-zero and variable between batches.
For most people this makes no difference. If you are avoiding alcohol entirely, the label is more reliable than the category name — and soda or tonic water, which contain none at all, will always stand in.
What varies between alcohol-free products →Common uses
