At a glance

One 700ml bottle of old tom gin makes 17 drinks — it runs out before anything else on the shelf.

Enter what you paid for each bottle to see a cost per serve. Leave them blank and no money figure is shown.

Batching 12

Everything in this can be mixed days ahead and kept cold. It is one of the drinks to build a party menu around.

Mix 922ml of the make-ahead ingredients with about 203ml of cold water, standing in for the ice you won’t be shaking or stirring with.

How it works

Serves per bottle is the bottle size divided by the recipe’s measure, rounded down to whole drinks. Bottles needed is rounded up, because you can’t open a third of one. Spirits, liqueurs, wine and alcohol-free bottles start at the size the catalogue records, or a standard 700ml where it records none; change any of them to match what you have. Juice, syrup, mixers and bitters start with no size at all — we won’t guess one.

Prices are yours alone. Nothing is filled in, nothing is looked up, and what you type is not saved or sent anywhere — reload the page and it is gone. The figures are a planning aid for a host, not stock control or financial advice. For working out what to buy for a crowd, the party calculator starts from the guest count instead. Please plan for fewer drinks rather than more, and have alcohol-free options to hand.
